UNORGANISED TOURISM

• Duly filled in and signed Visa application form: https://www.mfa.bg/en/services-travel/consular-services/travel-bulgaria/visa-application-forms

• Original Passport. Passport must be valid at least three months after the planned date of return from the territory of Bulgaria and all EU member states or in case of multiple visits - after the last scheduled date of departure from the territory of the Schengen member states, containing at least two empty pages, issued within the previous 10 years.

• Photocopies - of the personal data pages of passport & current and previously expired visas

• UK Residence permit - Endorsed in the passport or issued as a Biometrics card and/or digital proof of immigration status issued by the UK Home Office (share code), must be valid for at least 1 month beyond the return date of the trip to the Schengen Area; C type visitor visa is not acceptable.

In all cases, the biometric residence card must be submitted.

Please note that your residence permit must be valid for at least one month after the end date of the trip to the Schengen member states.

• One recent colour passport-size photograph.

• Reserved return airline/ ferry/ train ticket. When reserving/booking a ticket, please be aware that filing a complete application does not guarantee that a visa will be granted. It may be advisable to book with an option for a refundable ticket.

• Means of transportation: All Confirmed paid travel tickets of Entry to Bulgaria or included in trip EU member states from the UK and departure to the UK (for air/surface/sea transport).

• If traveling by car: Provide a driving license, car registration, car insurance, and confirmed tickets (ferry or Euro tunnel) mentioning the car’s registration number and driver’s driving license. If the applicant is not the driver, then the driver’s cover letter (signed & dated) confirming joint travel with the applicant and travel dates and proof of official ID (passport and driving license)

• Reserved return airline/ferry/ train ticket. When reserving/booking a ticket, please be aware that filing a complete application does not guarantee that a visa will be granted. It may be advisable to book a fully refundable ticket.

• Proof of accommodation:
  Hotel booking, fully prepaid, guaranteed, and confirmed in the applicant’s name, with full hotel information unclouded: name, address, contact telephone.

• A travel health insurance policy is valid for Bulgaria and all EU member states for the whole period of the trip, covering all costs for repatriation and for urgent medical care and emergency hospital treatment for the period of the stay indicated in the visa. The minimum coverage shall be EUR 30 000 and the insurance must be valid for all Schengen member states.

• Proof of address in the UK (i.e. latest council tax bill, utility bill, bank statement, pension certificate or similar).

• Evidence of sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay e.g. United Kingdom bank account statements in your name showing movements over the last three months, as a minimum, and current balance; Credit card(s) and credit card statement indicating the cardholder’s name and address. The statement must contain information on the monthly limit or spending cap.

  If your wife/ husband financially supports you, i.e. you do not work yourself, please also provide your marriage certificate and your spouse's bank statements showing movements over the last three months and a written and signed confirmation of support by your spouse.

• Confirmation letter of employment/ student status/ unemployment/ pension.

  Employee: pay slips for the last three months.

  Self-employed person: recent letter from accountant, banker, or solicitor (official headed letter with name, date of issue, address, contact details, and position of signatory and registration number in the United Kingdom) confirming self-employment or business ownership in the United Kingdom. The letter must also state the amount of remuneration drawn annually from the company. Self-assessment form submitted to revenue and customs authorities.

MINORS - Additional documents needed:

• For (children below 18 years), the following are required in addition to the above

• Declaration of Consent for Minor Children signed by both parents.

• Original & Copy of both the parent's passports

• OR A power of attorney or court order mentioning the custody in case one of the parents is not present.

• Original & Copy of Birth Certificate for the child (and certified translation
